CONTENT

 

The bill would amend the Michigan Energy Assistance Act to require the Department of Health and Human Services to notify Michigan Energy Assistant Program (MEAP) participants of their eligibility for other services under the MEAP, including energy waste reduction products and services offered by an energy provider or a home weatherization assistance program.

 

The bill is tie-barred to Senate Bills 353, 880, and 881, which would collectively expand eligibility for energy assistance from the MEAP and require the Low-income Assistance Fund to be administered to promote Statewide access to the MEAP.
