CONTENT

 

The bill would amend the Michigan Memorial Highway Act to designate the portion of Highway US-131 in Kalamazoo County between Highway I-94 and Parkview Avenue as the "Master Sergeant Gregory T. Kuhse Memorial Highway".

 

The bill would take effect 90 days after its enactment.

BRIEF RATIONALE

 

Master Sergeant Gregory T. Kuhse was born on February 12, 1977, in Kalamazoo, MI and graduated from Comstock High School in 1995. Afterwards, Master Sergeant Kuhse joined the Air Force and became an Information Resources Manager and Manpower Analyst for over 19 years. On October 11, 2015, a helicopter crashed at Camp Resolute Support, Kabul, Afghanistan and took the life of Master Sergeant Kuhse. The bill should be passed to recognize his service and honor his sacrifice.
