e/d/s = entered during session

Rep. Gregory L. Alexander, from the 98th District, offered the following invocation:

“Dear heavenly Father, we thank You for this day we thank You for the opportunity to serve our constituents in this great state of Michigan.

We pray today Lord, for us law and policy makers. May we hear the call to do the work of justice. Send Your Holy Spirit to open blinded eyes, help us hear the cries of the oppressed and soften our hearts to those in need.

Make us effective in our challenge of injustice, O God, because the changes we cause, the ground we gain, and the help we provide to our brothers and sisters shall bring us ever more fully into Your Kingdom.

We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,

Amen.”
