These rules become effective immediately after filing with the Secretary of State unless adopted under section 33, 44, or 45a(9) of the administrative procedures act of 1969, 1969 PA 306, MCL 24.233, 24.244, or 24.245a. Due to an error on the July 21, 2025 letter filed with the Michigan Senate, pursuant to Executive Order No. 2019-13, please be advised of the following correction appearing in bold:

Unemployment Insurance Appeals Commission - Chair

Julie Petrik of 13156 Winchester Avenue, Huntington Woods, Michigan 48070, Oakland County, will be reappointed as chair, for a term commencing August 1, 2025, and expiring at the pleasure of the Governor.

 

Unemployment Insurance Appeals Commission

Sheryl McGrath, of 1866 Yosemite Drive, Okemos, Michigan 48864, Ingham County, succeeding Lester Owczarski who has passed, will be appointed as a member in good standing of the State Bar of Michigan who has been an attorney licensed to practice in Michigan courts for five years or more, for a term commencing August 3, 2025, and expiring July 31, 2029.

Due to an error on the July 21, 2025 letter filed with the Michigan Senate, pursuant to Executive Order No. 2019-13, pleased be advised of the following corrections appearing in bold:

Michigan Board of Counseling

Sheri Pickover, of 989 Rikki Ann Court, Wixom, Michigan 48393, Oakland County, appointed as a member who is engaged primarily in teaching, training, or research in counseling, for a term commencing July 21, 2025, and expiring June 30, 2027. Pickover fills a vacant seat.

A bill to amend 2000 PA 489, entitled “Michigan trust fund act,” by amending section 2 (MCL 12.252), as amended by 2023 PA 174; and to repeal acts and parts of acts.

The bill was read a first and second time by title and referred to the Committee on Economic and Community Development.

Senate Bill No. 487, entitled

A bill to amend 1921 PA 2, entitled “An act to promote the efficiency of the government of the state, to create a state administrative board, to define the powers and duties thereof, to provide for the transfer to said board of powers and duties now vested by law in other boards, commissions, departments and officers of the state, and for the abolishing of certain of the boards, commissions, departments and offices, whose powers and duties are hereby transferred,” by amending section 3 (MCL 17.3), as amended by 2021 PA 143.

The bill was read a first and second time by title and referred to the Committee on Economic and Community Development.

A bill to amend 2018 PA 540, entitled “Economic development incentive evaluation act,” by amending sections 3, 5, and 7 (MCL 18.1753, 18.1755, and 18.1757), and by adding section 7a.

Senate Bill No. 492, entitled

A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled “The revised school code,” by amending section 1135 (MCL 380.1135), as amended by 2018 PA 619.
